Event Description

The first dinner was a big hit, so . . . .

Please join us for our bi-monthly GHC Discussion Dinner. The topic this month is "Monogamy/Monotony". Cocktails at 7pm, dinner at 7:30pm.

PLEASE RSVP FOR THIS EVENT THROUGH THIS EVENT LISTING so that we can make reservations at the restaurant.

These dinners are fun social events and a chance to engage GHC members in meaningful conversations on the topics most relevant to our community and our work.

Guests will be seated at tables of 6 to 8 people. The dinners are held in private or semi-private rooms so that we can talk freely, and we have arranged an affordable but quality dinner (target cost $20+tax and tip).

As with all GHC events, please bring any LGBT professional healers or others who you think may want to be a part of our community, or who may want to participate in the discussion. We hope to see you there.

Very sorry I won't be able to attend this, as it sounds very interesting!

I work with many gay male couples in couples counseling on this very issue of monogamous versus (some variation of) open relationships. It's a tricky subject, because there are pros and cons to every option, and the couple has to work out what works best for them through a suprisingly thorough communication process that validates their sexual selves but also provides for mutual respect, regard, and emotional safety.

For more information on this from me, see my two-part article, "No More 'Cheating': How to Have an Open Relationship Without Hurt Feelings", here: http://www.gaytherapyla.com/?p=72 (for Part I), and here: http://www.gaytherapyla.com/?p=82 (for Part II).

Will miss you -- hope to see everyone soon! :)

What a great topic! Count me in. As a Man built for monogamy in a community that rarely embraces it, I have much to share. Looking forward to it and may bring a guest.
