East Meets West: Sharing Your Experience with Alternative Healing Methods
(Or… Why the Jews Like Chinese**)
Have you ever experienced the following:
- You urge someone to try your Chinese Doctor for acupuncture and they roll their eyes.
- Someone suggests that you get 'Rolf-ed' and you roll YOUR eyes.
- You tell your physician that your healer requested that you eat more darkly colored vegetables and he throws you out of his office.
If you answered (or imagined yourself answering) yes to any of the above, then our next discussion dinner is for you. On October 13th, we will meet at Bloom Restaurant to socialize, catch up and share our success and horror stories about how we bridge the gap between eastern healing and western medicine.
** This is an inside joke. If you don't get it, then come to the dinner to find out what it means.
Our regular bi-monthly Discussion Dinner is a fun social event and a chance to engage GHC members in meaningful conversation on the topics most relevant to our community and our work.
Guests will be seated at tables of 6 to 8 people. The dinners will be held in private areas so that we can talk freely, and we will work with the restaurants to arrange affordable but quality dinner choices (target meal cost $25 + tax and gratuity).
As with all GHC events, please bring anyone who may want to be part of our community, or who may want to participate in the discussion. We hope to see you there.
