Standing On The Shoulders Of Our Elders
GAY COMMUNITY BUILDING & HEALING: Tending the Soul of Our Community
A healthy community is an integrated one. Traditionally, healing has always been done in a community context, with elders being essential to this task. Hear from two of the founding members of the LA Gay Elder Circle, Dr. Donald Kilhefner and Allen Page. In this interactive presentation workshop, you will:
- Explore organizing principles of the roles of Youth, Adult, Elder and Ancestor.
- Find your personal role in your own community.
- Expand the healing opportunities in your life.
The survival of a community depends on its emotional and spiritual health, which are the responsibility of the Elders. Don and Allen and the Gay Healer’s Circle invite you to be a part of this important afternoon.
Please bring any LGBT professional healers, or non-healers who you think may want to be a part of our community.
