Dear Allen; Namaste. Yes, it was deeply transformational -- from the moment that we stopped to pay our respect and reverence at the Painted Cave, to the actual afternoon constructing the Medicine Wheel on the Mountain, all the way back home (where I continued having profound Dream Activity) -- you know those "crying dreams", where you're both crying in the dream and wake up crying??? When Alex sent us out that morning to "find and retrieve" the rocks for the circle, we didn't know that where the rocks actually would be placed in the Medicine Wheel -- but either they wound up "looking like" the perfect rock that belongs in the perfect place, or they "spoke" to us through the voices of the Ancestors. It's hard to explain in English, as the words only convey the description of the event and not the psycho-emotional components of it. I'm looking forward to Alex announcing when the next Medicine Wheel "Rainbow Vision Quest" will be, so that I can take my friends and brothers to learn to "walk the wheel". Namaste, Allen; I hope to see you at the upcoming 2-Day Workshop, "Through The Threshold" on Halloween Day and All Saints Day in Griffith Park. This course was formally called "Seeing In The Dark", but has been revamped. The key teachings will be "Dream Re-entry" (a very powerful tool that all Shamanic Healers should be able to practice) and "Shamanic Journeying" (another technique that has transformed my Spiritual "Question & Answering" sessions). We will be doing - experientally - both a (1) Journey to Your Power Place; and (2) Journey to Find Your Power Animal. I heard about this group from Kelly who used to work at Equinox fitness center. How was your recent channeling group? I won't be able to attend the PRS Shamanism lecture this coming Sunday because I will be attending a Brian Weiss workshop. I know a Roger Woolger one may be more in depth but he doesn't seem to have workshops in the west coast. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the LAGHC meeting.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful and extensive comment you left me. Primarily, I am not licensed because it has never been my desire to practice psychotherapy or to have one-on-one work the primary focus of what I do...much to the annoyance and chagrin of my professors in grad school. I got a LOT of flak for not being interested in becoming a psychologist. While this was a lovely validation of their perspective that I had talent and would have made a good shrink, it was, ultimately, a dismissal of what my vision was. I usually refer to myself as a "media psychologist" which is basically a catch-all phrase that indicates that I have the knowledge and education of a psychologist (as a Doctor of Psychology) but that the focus of my work is on a larger scale - e.g. media work, workshops, lectures, classes, books, etc. I had my own tv show on the sci fi network in '03 on the topic of dreams and have guested on about 8-9 other shows over the years on the same subject. I do a lot of radio and have spent a good deall of my time writing books on the subject. I limit my practice to working with people through astrology, dreamwork, life coaching, manifestation coaching and other spiritually oriented disciplines that allow me to tap into those areas of expertise that I love so dearly, but not the kind of work that is so limiting in the way that psychotherapy can be.

Incidentally, I am doing a workshop on the 25th - a Saturday at 3:00-4:30pm at Pan Pacific Park, and will be sharing a flyer with this community in the next day or two. I would be honored if any of this wonderful new group of men would attend: More about that soon.
